ADULT MUAY THAI
Known as the "King" of all Martial Arts, the name is well deserved. Muay Thai incorporates many parts of the body as weapons including the hands, elbows, knees and legs. Our Muay Thai class also focuses on many of the techniques and tactics that are not allowed or used in today's ring version including the use of the forearm. Even so, this Thai Martial Art of self-defence is gaining popularity world wide especially in its ring aspect. Mike Miles Muay Thai & Kickboxing Ltd.'s instructors philosophy is to teach our students discipline, patience, self-confidence, respect and to develop body co-ordination, speed, balance, endurance, grace, physical and mental health. Most importantly, we strive to teach our students the meaning of a "Champion of Life" whether becoming a competitive athlete or not. Mr. Miles is the only Canadian who is certified by Ajarn Panya Kraitus. Ajarn Panya is one of Thailand's most respectable instructors, who in turn was instructed by many Masters including Master Tavorn Kliengkaew, Master Sudjai Charalrat, and one of Thailand's most celebrated Muay Thai exponents, Supreme Master Kyet Sriyapai of the Chua Chaiya Camp.

CHILDREN'S KICKBOXING
Children achieve self-confidence through learning how to punch, kick, elbow, knee and clinch. This class deals with teaching children how to deliver proper contact with their blows into pads in a disciplined environment. Children learn to respect other people and very importantly, how to defend themselves. An excellent method for teaching self-confidence. Using modern Kickboxing techniques, the children strike into the pads to develop power and learn how to block, dodge, slip, avoid attacks and apply submission holds. Physically this develops great timing, focus and rhythm in the children. Children are instructed when and how to use these techniques to defend themselves. Children come to Mike Miles Muay Thai & Kickboxing Ltd. for many reasons. Concerned parents become tired of seeing their youngsters abused and intimidated by schoolyard bullies. Many physicians, teachers and counselors recommend Martial Arts as a way to help youngsters achieve greater social, physical, mental, and emotional growth. Children who are physically clumsy, awkward or overweight will develop agility, grace, co-ordination and a positive self-image through Muay Thai's physical and emotional training. As Martial Arts skills are developed, self confidence is greatly increased until finally the schoolyard bullies look for someone else to pick on. A no contact sparring atmosphere is adhered to for the children.

CARDIO-KICKBOXERCISE
This is Muay Thai/Kickboxing aerobics. Classes are instructed by Irene Miles-Nemeth who is in her second decade of AFLCA certification. She has trained in Kickboxing technique for 15 years. This mother of two is in awe inspiring shape and she will get you in the best shape you have ever been in. This is not geared toward the ring oriented Kickboxer but to the stressed out executive or non-competitive athlete. It is an excellent way to get into shape as well as learn basic strikes and combinations. Mike Miles Muay Thai & Kickboxing Ltd.'s added benefit is that all of the instructors have prior experience in the ring, adding to the enthusiasm of the student with technically correct visuals. The students learn from legitimate and experienced kickboxing instructors.
