'FIERCE FIGHTS IV' - (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) March 10th, 2007

Presented by Jerrick Hodge.

Jerrick Hodge and Double Dragon Kickboxing hosted their first fight event of the year in Winnipeg. It was sanctioned by the CMTC-A. The event was completely sold out and featured some very good fights. Unfortunately, a few of the scheduled fights fell through and exhibition bouts were scheduled to take their place. The exhibition bouts were fought with a lot of desire and left the audience somewhat frustrated as winners were not announced.

Some of the results included:

- The Main Event bout was supposed to be for a Manitoba Muay Thai Title but this did not happen. One of the Main opponent's had to pull from the event. One of the principals in this scheduled bout, Jude Ormond (Double Dragon - Manitoba) stepped into the ring against Brad Wall (PFA - Alberta) under modified rules. Wall took the bout on very short notice. This was an exciting exhibition with each athlete banging on each other. Ormond started landing a few heavy cut kicks during the bout and Wall was to come back and land a few of his own which settled the power issue down. Wall looked very composed and relaxed and Ormond did the same. Ormond has a good future in front of him.

- Guy Langlois (Double Dragon - Manitoba) battled against Sam Roberts (Scheer - Saskatchewan) in a Kickboxing rules bout. Sam Roberts was to win the bout by decision.

- Brent Hoffman (Double Dragon - Manitoba) scrapped Chase Arkossy (Mike Miles Muay Thai - Alberta) in a modified Muay Thai rules bout. Arkossy came out quite quick and landed some very good shots. Hoffman was to throw a lot of techniques as well. The only clear scoring during each round was Arkossy's teep which would send Hoffman stumbling backwards time and time again as he tried to move in and scrap. Hoffman kept trying to use his height advantage to force the fight. The majority of shots thrown by Hoffman would bounce off of Arkossy's arms. The same was true for Arkossy's blows. However, each round would see at least 10 clear teep's land from Arkossy sending Hoffman stumbling backwards. Brent Hoffman was to win the decision.

- Chris Molloy (Double Dragon - Manitoba) battled against Chase Degenhardt (PFA - Alberta) in a Kickboxing rules bout. Degenhardt was just too strong and tall for the shorter Molloy to deal with. The bout was stopped in the third round with Chase Degenhardt winning the bout by TKO.

- Angel Anderson (Double Dragon - Manitoba) had her opponent pull out and a replacement could not be found. On short notice Sandra Bastian (Mike Miles Muay Thai - Alberta) was asked to come and exhibition. Anderson had a huge following of fans supporting her with all wanting to see blood. A big problem is that Anderson's head gear must have fallen off at least 10-20 times. In several instances during the clinch she even pushed it off her head. Anderson (with the support of her fans) wanted to fight without the head gear during the final round, after fighting the first two with it on. Anderson tried to turn this bout into a war of attrition but it was not to be. Bastian calmly used her skills and controlled the bout from start to finish. On the outside Bastian kept Anderson at bay with excellent teep's. When Anderson would literally bull her way in to punch like a boxer. Bastian would calmly grab Anderson's neck and work the knees until they were broken up and forced to start on the outside again.

- Cara Chell (Double Dragon - Manitoba) faced Melanie Goulet (Mike Miles Muay Thai - Alberta) in the first Modified Muay Thai rules bout of the evening. This was an exciting fight with Goulet using her legs to keep Chell off balance coming in. Chell showed great desire and good skills. Melanie Goulet was to win the bout by decision.

- Tony Cianflone (Double Dragon - Manitoba) stepped into the ring against Kayvon Karimrhani (Scheer - Saskatchewan) under Kickboxing rules. Karimrhani proved to have far too much power and the bout was stopped in the second round. Kayvon Karimrhani walked away with the win by second round TKO in this bout.

- Holly Harrison (Double Dragon - Manitoba) squared off against Claire Roberts (Scheer - Sasaktchewan) under Kickboxing rules. Roberts had a huge height difference to deal with and this would be the main factor influencing the result of this bout. Holly Harrison was to win the bout by unanimous decision.

- Sung Chan (Double Dragon - Manitoba) battled against Eric Andre in a Kickboxing rules bout. Eric Andre was to walk away with the victory.
