Bout Four: (3 x 2 min Kickboxing)
Abe Neufeld 145 lb. (Outhaivong – Steinbach) vs. Mike Roberts 140 lb. (Mike Miles Muay Thai –
Calgary)
Round one - Mike would shell up letting Abe expend his engery, and then responded with his own crisp, hard
combinations to cut kicks, punishing Abe’s leg.
Round two - Mike picked up the pace doing a great job listening to his corner.
Round three - Abe started to throw single and double shots while Mike was working his combinations to cut kicks.
At the ten second mark both fighters poured it on giving their all. The winner by unanimous decision was Mike
Roberts.
Bout Seven: (3 x 2 min Kickboxing)
Tyler Smit 170 lb. (Lightning Fist – Calgary) vs. Manny Sihota 165 lb. (National Calgary)
This fight was a slugfest for Tyler, rocking Manny with many bombs. Manny could only shell up against the flurry
of punches. An uppercut, straight left, right cross combination from Tyler dropped Manny to the mat for the win by
TKO at 1:52 of the first round.
Bout Ten: (3 x 2 min Modified Muay thai)
Etienne Henzel 165 lb. (Outhaivong – Steinbach) vs. Peter Arbeau 154 lb. (Mike Miles Muay Thai –
Calgary)
Peter gave Etienne a clinic in kneeing, dominating throughout all three rounds. The fighters would exchange a
few punches or kicks and would then immediately fall into the clinch. Peter controlled and landed his knees at will.
At the beginning of rounds two and three Etienne managed to sweep Peter, but it was not enough. Peter won by
unanimous decision.
Bout Thirteen: (5 x 2 min. Full Muay Thai)
Adam Bambrick 145lb. (P.F.A. – Lethbridge) vs. Nate Smandych 140 lb. (Mike Miles Muay Thai –
Calgary)
There was no feeling out process for the main event of the evening, as Nate fired off hard cut kicks to Adam’s
lead leg. Adam used his reach advantage in return to land solid combinations. Neither fighter backed down from the
fast, hard pace they set, trading punches and kicks before falling into the clinch throwing knees to the delight of
the crowd. Throughout the fight Nate surprised Adam, catching him several times with his spinning back elbows. In
the fourth round Nate rocked Adam with a roundhouse to the head. While in clinch in the fifth round Nate managed to
pull Adam’s had down nailing him with several hard knees. The winner by unanimous decision was Nate Smandych.
