The results of the event are as follows:
MAIN EVENT - Canadian Superfeatherweight Kickboxing Title Defense / 5 rounds of 2 minutes
KIM "HAFSTER" MORRIS (Medicine Hat) vs. DARREN ROBSON (Airdrie)
In his retirement match, Morris decides to defend his Canadian Title one last time in front of his home town
crowd. Usually fighting at 128 lbs., he is unsuccessful in finding a challenger in his weight class anywhere in
Canada so the Champion moves up in weight to 135 lbs. Here he manages to get CMTC-A approval on a title match with
Lightweight athlete Darren Robson. The bout goes the full 5 rounds with Robson managing to use his range to kick and
keep Morris at bay. When Morris gets inside he is the better puncher but Robson clinches to avoid exchanging with
the Champion. As the bout progresses, Morris lands several telling right hands which shake the challenger but the
champion does not follow up. Robson wins the bout by unanimous decision.
SEMI-MAIN EVENT - Women's Prestige Muay Thai Match / 4 rounds of 2 minutes
MICHELLE EASTON (Calgary, Miles) vs. RICKI STEFFAN (Saskatoon, Weenk)
A good match with Steffan being the aggressor and Easton taking her time and defending and counter striking.
Steffan is stronger with her shots but is surprised by some of Easton's counter attacks. Easton falls to the ground
several times during exchanges and this is what affects the outcome of the bout. Steffan wins the bout by split
decision. A good match between the ladies.
Under Card:
Modified Muay Thai Match / 3 rounds of 2 minutes
MIKE ROBERTS (Calgary, Miles) vs. OREST MULYK (Calgary, Ndugga)
An exciting match. Mulyk comes out strong and aggressive in the first round while Roberts shells and watches for
the strong and weak points of his opponent. Mulyk uses movement and his height advantage to keep Roberts on the
outside. In the second round, Roberts starts pressing and delivering strong kicks and punches to turn the tide in
his favor. A heavy right hand drops Mulyk towards the end of the second round. Mulyk proves he is full of grit and
survives the round. In the third round Roberts forces the bout and score with heavy low kicks pressuring Mulyk
backwards to the ropes. A good fight with Mike Roberts taking an unanimous decision.
Kickboxing Rules / 3 rounds of 2 minutes
CURTIS MARTENS (Airdrie, Wright) vs. COLTYN VOTH (Steinbach, Outhaivong)
This was a last minute change in the program. The original opponent to Martens could not make the event at the
last moment. Voth's original opponent also had to pull from the event, thus these two athletes of the same weight
were matched together. Martens was a lot taller but Voth came to scrap and spent a lot of time on the inside trying
to exchange leather. Voth would deliver but at the end of his combinations he would fall somewhat off balance, and
Martens would use shorter and crisper combinations to score. The result of the match was an unanimous decision for
Curtis Martens.
Modified Muay Thai Rules / 3 rounds of 2 minutes
SEAN McKINNON (Calgary, Smandych) vs. TYLER SMIT (Calgary, Kovacs)
In the first round Smit came out and threw everything but the kitchen sink. McKinnon at times was overwhelmed
but he stayed in the fight. In the second round, things completely changed. Smit was totally spent and McKinnon
came back and returned the onslaught. Towards the end of the round McKinnon delivered an inside leg cut kick high
on the thigh. Smit went down claiming the blow hit him in the groin. After a rest break Smit decided not to continue.
The bout went to the score cards and Smit was awarded a win based on the first round. A protest has been lodged over
the decision over several factors and the decision is pending.
Modified Muay Thai Rules / 3 rounds of 2 minutes
RYAN BRIGHAM (Lethbridge, Mein) vs. TOREY PAUL (Calgary, Smandych)
This was a last minute replacement bout. A war from start to finish these two gave it their all. Both looked
completely spent in the final round in an exciting leather packed bout. The winner by split decision was Ryan
Brigham.
Kickboxing Rules / 3 rounds of 2 minutes
STEPHANIE MARSHALL (Calgary, Miles) vs. SARA TAYLOR (Medicine Hat, Morgan)
These two athletes really went to town. Marshall relied on strong low kicks and straight punches to turn the
bout in her favor. In the final round, Marshall came forward aggressively with strong punches and Taylor's coach
finally threw the towel in. Stephanie Marshall was to win the bout by TKO and also won the Best Fighter of the
Night award.

the bout by a 2nd Round TKO.
