6) Justin Tavernini (PFA, Lethbridge-AB) defeated Grahm Weenk (Bushido, Saskatoon-SK) by an Arm Bar.
This was a rematch bout for these two athletes from their previous bout January 11/03 at the Palace Night Club which showed Tavernini winning by way of Tap Out. Promoter-Mr.Lochert was at the Calgary event and thought this bout should have lasted longer between these two skilled fighters and made it possible to have both rematch on his card and even arranged for the rematch to be for a vacant Super Lightweight CMMAC Western Canadian Title. This bout was not to be a disappointment with both showing even exchanges, takedowns and grappling. In the 2nd round, Tavernini had hold of Weenk's arm and moved into position to put it into a lock. Weenk could not maneuver to get free and had to Tap Out with Tavernini taking the Title. Hats off to both of these athletes.
