Bout One: Full Muay Thai (4 x 2 minutes rounds)
Team Canada Trials for one of the spots on the Team. Misty Sutherland 125 lbs (Mike Miles Muay Thai) Calgary, AB vs. Jenypher Lantheir 125 lbs (Siam Number 1) Toronto ON.

At 1:36 of the first round Misty delivered a beautifully timed knee into the chest of Jenypher putting her to the canvas. Jenypher was unable to continue. Misty Sutherland won the right to represent Team Canada in the upcoming Amateur World Amateurs in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bout Two: Full Muay Thai (4 x 2 minute rounds)
Team Canada Trials for another spot on Team Canada. Robin Finley 230 lbs (Mike Miles Muay Thai) Calgary AB vs. Roland Samprie 200 lbs (Siam Number 1) Toronto ON.

Robin moved seamlessly with his strikes, coming in with jab cross to a cut kick. Roland would counter with heavy right hands. Robin earned his spot on Team Canada by TKO at 1:59 of second round.

Bout Seven: Kickboxing (3 x 2 minute rounds)
Michael Musto 150 lbs (National Kickboxing) Calgary AB vs. Hal Kriesel 155 lbs (Frank Lee) Edmonton AB.

Michael turned it up a notch and pushed his opponent onto his heels for the majority of this bout. He had crisp punches and flowed through his combinations well for the win by unanimous decision.

Bought Eight: Kickboxing (3 x 2 minute rounds)
Marty Phiffer 200 lbs (Cheney’s) Red Deer AB vs. Dusty Kramps 200 lbs (National Kickboxing) Calgary AB.

The deciding factor in this fight would turn out to be conditioning. Marty was able to be more effective with his technique for the win by majority decision. A very good and exciting scrap!
