Mike Miles - Ok let me deal with the meat and the potatoes. I will only mention Professional World Champions in MuayThai and/or Kickboxing in Calgary and surrounding areas, etc in this answer. I will add in IFMA World Champions because though they use the term 'amateur' though it is misleading as it features many of the European and Oriental countries sending some of their best professional fighters. Some other time I will list amateur world champions who came from Calgary. I will list athletes alphabetically. under categories.

PROFESSIONAL WORLD CHAMPIONS

ERIN LINLEY: Her Highest Fighting Awards: 2003 WMC Professional World MuayThai Title (Thailand), 2003 - WIKBA Professional World MuayThai Title (Calgary) / But in 2001 she fought for the ISKA Professional Oriental Rules Title against Anasatasia Touktaulova and lost a questionable highly decision (Russia).
Erin is the only female fighter in Calgary and surrounding area to win a Professional World Title, in fact she won 2!
She spent her entire fighting career fighting under me. Very beautiful technique and a very smart fighter to watch. She moved better than most male fighters out there. She had a trademark aerial after winning a fight. Was always being talked about fighting UK's Lisa Houghton-Smith and Holland's Ilonka Elmont. She was even approached to box professionally.

He fought in the 1st SportAccord Championship in Beijing 2010 but during the fights ended up breaking his foot in the semifinals settling for a bronze medal. Artem Levin would have been his opponent who took the gold. Offered always on short notice fights in big events like K-1 and Glory. He also won Gold at the IFMA European Cup (2008) in Germany. Silver Medal IFMA World Championships (2006). He spent his entire career fighting under me.
